Meet Our Gingerbread 589: Big Rig, Bigger Holiday Vibes

This year’s showpiece is a 2026 Peterbilt 589 sleeper, transformed into a rolling gingerbread masterpiece. Think classic holiday charm, but scaled up to “18-wheeler” size: warm cookie tones, candy-inspired accents, and the kind of festive look that makes you do a double take (and probably reach for your phone).

Parade Details + New Route This Year

If you’re planning to watch, here’s what you need to know:

• Event: 52nd annual WIVK Christmas Parade
• Location: Downtown Knoxville
• Time: The parade steps off at 6:45 p.m.
• Start: Gay Street & Main Street
• New Route: Heads north on Gay Street, then turns right onto Jackson Avenue, finishing east of Covenant Health Park

Street closures and parking impacts are expected Friday afternoon, so arriving early is a good idea if you want a great viewing spot.
