Peterbilt Expands Electric Vehicle Portfolio with All-New Medium Duty Models 536EV, 537EV and 548EV

Peterbilt has expanded its zero-emissions lineup with the all-new 536EV, 537EV, and 548EV—medium-duty electric trucks designed for real-world delivery, service, and vocational applications.

Denton, TX (December 9, 2025) — Peterbilt Motors Company has announced an expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) portfolio with three all-new medium duty battery-electric models: the 536EV, 537EV, and 548EV. The new additions broaden Peterbilt’s zero-emissions offering to cover more applications, while bringing proven platforms, zero tailpipe emissions, and the latest safety technologies to customers looking to electrify their operations.

Built for Real-World Medium-Duty and Vocational Work

The new 536EV and 537EV are engineered for regional delivery, as well as service and utility applications. The Model 548EV brings battery-electric capability to Class 8 work, supporting 4x2 tractor configurations and a range of vocational upfits—including PTO-equipped applications such as dump trucks.

Each model features EV-specific styling cues, including a blue-accented crown and grille and EV-exclusive hood side panels. Inside, drivers will find an EV-focused cabin with Magneto Gray interior trim and laser-etched accent panels.

Highlights include:

  • Two battery-capacity options, with up to 280 miles of maximum range
  • 350 kW DC fast charging, enabling up to 80% charge in just over 80 minutes
  • Furnished-by-owner ePTO options rated at 25 kW (two-battery) or 150 kW (three-battery)
  • Bendix® Fusion™ Stop & Auto-Go Advanced with pedestrian detection and high beam assist (standard)
  • Configurable PTO controls and switches
  • Industry-standard body lighting connections
  • Customizable frame layout options
  • Driver-focused design with LED lighting, strong ergonomics, and comfort features

Purposeful Technology and Driver Experience

Peterbilt’s “innovation with purpose” design approach continues with advanced EV technologies, including:

  • EV-specific 15-inch digital driver display with key performance and charging data
  • SmartLINQ® integration for energy usage, location, and range insights
  • Configurable powertrain and cabin preconditioning
  • Scheduled charge start times to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates
  • Electronic Park Brake (EPB) with rollaway mitigation

PACCAR ePowertrain at the Core

Powering these new models is the PACCAR ePowertrain—also used in the 579EV and 567EV—designed to adapt across vehicle configurations and job requirements. Key capabilities include:

  • A midship-mounted eMotor configuration with dual electric motors and an integrated three-speed transmission for smooth shifting without torque interruption
  • Multiple power ratings up to 605 horsepower and 1,850 lb.-ft. of torque
  • Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry for proven reliability
  • Selectable three-stage regenerative braking
  • Architecture compatible with existing suspension options
  • Supports 4x2 and 6x4 configurations, wheelbases 163 inches or longer, and applications up to 82,000 lbs. GCW
