Engine & Drivetrain
Power comes from a Cummins X15 Performance Series rated at 565 HP at 1,950 RPM, governed at 2,000 RPM, with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM. It's a 2026 model-year engine with 2024-series emissions, CARB compliant and certified for both CARB and EPA idling rules. The engine uses EMUX electronics architecture and a Predictive Cruise Control package, with the powertrain tuned for performance in vocational and heavy-GCWR work. The effective road speed limit is set at 65.0 mph or greater, and typical operating speed is 70 mph. Other engine features include a Jacobs compression brake with controls on the right-hand column, engine protection shutdown, an enabled idle shutdown timer with an ambient-temperature override, and a PTO maximum engine speed of 1,400 RPM. Supporting equipment includes a PACCAR 160-amp brushed alternator, a PACCAR 12V starter, three PACCAR Premium 12V dual-purpose batteries (2,190 CCA), a 110–120V immersion block heater and an 18.7 CFM air compressor. There's also a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent start/stop work, a high-efficiency cooling system, a PACCAR extended-service fuel/water separator and 12V fuel filter heat. Air intake is through 15-inch premium stainless cowl-mounted air cleaners with slotted stainless caps. Exhaust runs through a dual SOC single-module DPF/SCR mounted under the cab on the right side, out to dual 7-inch chrome-plated steel standpipes 36 inches tall with 45-degree curved tips. The transmission is an Eaton RTLO20918B 18-speed with an oil-to-water cooler, a chrome manual shifter, and a self-adjusting, pre-damped clutch. The driveline is an RPL20 interaxle with an RPL25 SD main driveline and one midship bearing. PTO provisions include a dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-air PTO control and a 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision in the engine bay.
Chassis & Axles
The frame uses 10-5/8-inch steel rails with 5/16-inch thickness, a zinc-coated anti-corrosion treatment and aluminum crossmembers. It ends in a tapered tractor end-of-frame with a crossmember and kingpin cutout. The front axle is a Dana Spicer E1322IL rated at 13,200 lbs with a 3.5-inch drop and a wide track, steered by a Sheppard HD94 power steering gear with a frame-mounted reservoir. The rears are Dana Spicer DSH40 High Performance 40 tandem axles rated at 40,000 lbs with a 3.70 ratio. Traction and control features include driver-controlled tandem diff locks with speed interlock, separate dash-controlled full-lock traction control, and the Bendix ESP Electronic Stability Program with ATC. The truck also has 6S6M anti-lock brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system and synthetic lubricant in all axles. Braking is Bendix ADB22X air disc front and rear with pad dust shields, running on PHP10 aluminum PreSet+ hubs on both axles.
Suspension
The front runs 13,200 lb taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks, greasable spring pins and 40 mm spring spacer blocks. The rear uses a lightweight Peterbilt Low Air Leaf suspension rated at 40,000 lbs with 52-inch axle spacing. It has a single leveling valve on the forward drive axle, a dash-mounted dump switch with an indicator light, and a backlit air suspension pressure gauge. The cab also rides on its own air suspension.

The aluminum day cab has a 131-inch BBC aluminum hood with a polished crown and spring tilt assist, plus the SmartSound cab insulation package and Peterbilt keyless entry. Inside is the Platinum interior in Alpine Gray with a rubber floor. Both seats are Peterbilt LX Premium Level high-back air-ride seats in black leather. The driver's seat is heated with left and right armrests, and the passenger seat has a left armrest. The steering column tilts and telescopes, and the premium leather-wrapped steering wheel has multifunction audio and cruise controls. The 15-inch digital instrument cluster displays transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction, trailer reservoir pressure, secondary fuel level, engine hours, PTO hours, turbo boost and percent torque. Bright-bezel 52 mm backlit gauges cover front and rear drive axle oil temperature (with gauge guards), engine oil temperature, fuel filter restriction and tractor brake application. Behind the cab is a right-side frame-mounted deck plate and access package. The air system uses a heated Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with a coalescing filter and extended purge.
