Overview
This 2026 Peterbilt 567 conventional day cab is set up as a tri-axle dump truck for hauling construction materials and for construction and block service. It pairs a 565 HP Cummins X15 and an Allison 4500 RDS-P automatic with a Beau-Roc DL model (150 CT) dump body. The body is sized 17'6 x 54 x 60, with a 45-ton hoist and a Roll Rite electric tarp system. GVWR and GCW are both 80,000 lbs.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Cummins X15 is rated at 565 HP at 1,950 RPM, governed at 2,000 RPM, with 1,850 lb-ft of torque at 1,000 RPM. It is a 2024-emissions engine using EMUX electronics architecture. The powertrain is optimized for performance in vocational and heavy-GCW applications, with a typical operating speed of 68 MPH. Engine programming sets a 64 MPH maximum accelerator vehicle speed, a 68 MPH maximum cruise control speed and a 1,400 RPM PTO maximum engine speed. Engine protection shutdown is enabled. The idle shutdown timer is set at 5 minutes and runs with the parking brake set. It gives a warning before shutdown and has hot and cold ambient idle settings. The engine meets CARB and EPA idling compliance.
An Intebrake engine brake is fitted, with its controls on the right-hand column. A 12-pin remote PTO/throttle provision is in the engine bay. Electrical equipment includes a 160-amp 36SI brushless alternator with remote voltage sense wiring and a PACCAR premium starter. There are three PACCAR premium 12V dual-purpose batteries rated at 2,190 CCA. A cab and sleeper power disconnect switch (Kissling 300A) is mounted on the battery box, and a low-voltage disconnect system is included. Cooling uses a high-efficiency system with a 2-speed fan clutch for frequent starts and stops. Other engine equipment includes a 37.4 CFM naturally aspirated air compressor, a 110–120V immersion block heater and a firewall-mounted air cleaner. Fuel runs through a Davco 382 fuel/water separator with 12V fuel filter heat. The unit also comes with a 5-year Cummins SmartLinq RD subscription.
Exhaust is a single right-hand side-of-cab system, with a single-module DPF/SCR under the right side of the cab. It exits through a 24" tall, 5" diameter curved-tip standpipe in chrome with clear coat. The transmission is an Allison 4500 RDS-P Gen 6 Rugged Duty Series in a 6-speed configuration, with a TC-561 torque converter. It has Allison neutral at stop, primary shift schedule 2 and a dash-mounted push-button shifter. The driveline is an SPL250 Lite HT with one midship bearing, plus an SPL170 XL interaxle driveline for the tandem rear axles. Both are service-free. A dash-mounted single-acting electric-over-hydraulic PTO control is included.
Chassis & Axles
The frame uses 10-3/4" steel rails to 354" at 3/8" thickness, with a full steel inner liner. The rails are zinc-coated and anti-corrosion treated. The frame has aluminum crossmembers, heavy-duty iron front spring brackets front and rear, and a square end of frame with a steel crossmember. Wheelbase is 242". Cab-to-axle is 151.9", front axle to back of cab is 90.1", and cab to end of frame is 241.9". The maximum grade rating is 6%. Engineering ratings are 20,000 lbs front, 20,000 lbs first intermediate, 23,000 lbs second intermediate and 23,000 lbs rear.
Up front is a PACCAR FX-20 steer axle rated at 20,000 lbs, with a 4" drop and wide track. Front equipment includes PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs, air disc front brakes and greasable front spring pins. Steering is TRW TAS85 dual-gear power steering with a frame-mounted reservoir and cooler.
The rear axle is a Dana Spicer D46-172 rated at 46,000 lbs with a 4.56 ratio. It has heavy-wall drive axles, a lube pump, gusseted cam brackets and rear brake camshaft reinforcement. Braking uses Bendix air cam rear drum brakes (16.5x8.6) with upsized parking brakes. The tandem axles have a differential lock with speed interlock. A Watson-Chalin SL2065 self-steering pusher axle rated at 20,000 lbs sits 52" from the centerline of the forward drive axle. It runs on PHP10 iron Preset+ hubs with cast drums and comes with its own air tank. The lift axle regulator and switch are at the left-hand driver seat, with a gauge in the dash, and the lifted axle stows higher to maximize ground clearance.
Safety and control systems include Bendix Smart ATC traction control and a Bendix 6S6M anti-lock braking system. The ABS has a programmable rail/drilling mode with switch and warning. Other chassis equipment includes an SBM valve, a tire pressure monitoring system and synthetic axle lubricant in all axles. Air equipment includes a Bendix AD-HF EP air dryer with heater, coalescing filter and extended purge. The aluminum air tanks are painted and have pull cords. The chassis also has nylon chassis hose and a dash-mounted non-self-returning brake hand valve. A 7-way socket is strapped to the rail at the end of the frame.
Suspension
The steer axle rides on 20,000 lb taper leaf springs with Tenneco shocks and 80 mm spring spacer blocks. The rear uses Peterbilt Air Trac suspension rated at 46,000 lbs with a 52" axle spacing, air springs with internal bumpers and a single leveling valve on the forward drive axle. A dash-mounted dump switch with an indicator light controls the suspension.
Cab & Interior
The cab is a 121" BBC aluminum day cab with a Metton hood, a stainless steel crown and grille, and tilt assist. It has a bright-finish hood-side air intake bezel and 4.5" rubber fender lips. Inside is the Prestige interior in Sterling Gray with a thermal insulation package and cab air suspension. The driver gets a Peterbilt ST air-ride, high-back seat in Mordura with a right-hand armrest. The passenger gets a Peterbilt ST non-adjustable, non-air-ride, high-back seat in Mordura, with a toolbox and tow hook holders underneath. The multi-function steering wheel carries the Peterbilt logo and audio and cruise controls, on a tilt/telescoping column. Standard features include keyless entry, power door locks and power windows, and a combination fresh-air heater and air conditioner.
Instrumentation is built around a 15" digital cluster display. The cluster shows transmission oil temperature, air filter restriction, brake application air pressure and engine percent torque. Separate 52 mm backlit gauges show engine oil temperature, air suspension pressure, manifold pressure and pusher axle pressure. Two additional dash switches come with wiring behind the dash. Audio is a ConcertClass AM/FM/WB radio with 3.5 aux input, Bluetooth phone and audio, a USB port and two speakers. The radio mutes when the transmission is in reverse. The cab is wired for a CB radio, with a microphone clip, speaker and a low-mount left-hand cowl antenna. It also has a logger-style radio antenna and global telematics hardware.
On the outside, the cab has a one-piece curved windshield, a fixed 3-piece rear glass window and dark window tint. A stainless steel sunvisor is mounted outside. The Peterbilt aero mirrors are motorized and heated with integrated convex mirrors, and their housings are painted body color. A look-down mirror with a black housing sits over the passenger door. The cab also has a textured, NFPA-compliant exterior grab handle, a removable bugscreen behind the grille, and electric wipers with an intermittent setting. There are two 23" round roof-mounted Peterbilt air horns with a horn shield. Lighting includes projector headlight modules with fender-mounted turn signals and five aero LED marker lights. LED stop/turn/tail/backup lights are bracket-mounted on both sides at the end of frame. Safety equipment includes a 107 dB backup alarm, a fire extinguisher mounted inboard of the driver seat, a triangle reflector kit and auto-reset circuit protection.
The cab is painted in Axalta two-stage effect metallic/pearl Black Red (L2133EY) across the cab, hood, fenders, hood top and cab roof, and the frame is black. The fuel tank is a polished 26" aluminum 120-gallon tank under the left side of the cab, with a polished non-slip fuel tank step and polished fuel and hydraulic tank straps. A small heavy-duty 14-gallon DEF tank is mounted on the left side behind the cab and has a polished stainless steel cover. The DEF-to-fuel ratio is between 1:1 and 2:1. A polished aluminum space-saver battery box is mounted on the right side behind the cab, with access from the side. A complete aftertreatment cab entry sits on the right side under the cab, with an aluminum non-slip step. The bumper is polished aluminum with a deep tapered profile and a toe step cutout, set forward of the axle.
Body & Equipment
The body is a Beau-Roc DL model (150 CT) dump body sized 17'6 x 54 x 60, installed and painted to match the cab. The one-piece floor is 3/16" steel (215,000 PSI, 450 HB). The one-piece formed front and one-piece molded diamond-style sides are 5/32" of the same steel, and the box top rail is 3/16". The diamond-style tailgate is 3/16" steel (215,000 PSI, 450 HB), and the longitudinals are 3/16" high-quality steel with inside gussets for strength. The body is fitted with a narrow 42" cab shield and painted 2x8 wood boards.
Hoist and hydraulics include a G-160-5.7-4 piston hoist rated at 45 tons with a 45-ton install kit. The hydraulics run from a hot-shift PTO on the Allison transmission with a direct-mount pump, controlled from an APSCO center control tower. The body also has a body stop limit and a safety body prop. The air-operated gate has safety locks on each side and removable spreader chains. The Roll Rite electric tarp system has aluminum arms and a wind deflector.
For access and utility, the body has a side ladder with an additional drop-down ladder, steps inside the body and a shovel holder on the driver side. Mud flaps with brackets are installed, with a hook for mud flaps at the rear of the truck. Lighting on the body includes reflectors and a center light bar and a body-up light. At the rear, two LED stop/turn/tail lights are in the rear posts along with two clear backup lights. Six LED strobe lights are installed, four in the cab shield and two at the rear of the body. A backup alarm is also installed on the body.
Tires & Wheels
The front tires are 20-ply 315/80R22.5 HAU3 WT on Alcoa 89U637 22.5x9.00 high-polish aluminum wheels. The rear has eight 16-ply 11R24.5 Conti HDR2+ tires on eight Alcoa 98U637 24.5x8.25 high-polish aluminum wheels. The self-steering pusher axle runs two 20-ply 315/80R22.5 HAU3 WT tires on two Alcoa 89U637 22.5x9.00 high-polish aluminum wheels. The outer surfaces of the steer, tandem drive and pusher wheels have a mirror polish and Dura-Bright finish. Wheel guards are fitted between the tandem axle wheels.
