Overview
This is a 2024 Peterbilt Model 220 Medium Duty battery-electric vehicle (BEV), finished in Ice White over a black frame. Delivered 10/31/24, the unit is rated for household goods hauling in city delivery service and is currently a bare chassis, shipped to the body builder for installation of a 24' DV-03 aluminum dry van. Note: unit is not drivable without body/modification completion. GVWR is rated at 29,000 lbs with a GCW of 29,000 lbs and a maximum grade capability of 6%.

Engine & Drivetrain
Fully electric powertrain built around a Dana TM4 HDHV3500 midship-mounted motor rated at 259 kW. Energy is supplied by a 282 kWh battery system paired with an LFP battery energy storage system. Charging is handled through a 19.2 kW onboard AC charger and 150 kW DC fast-charge capability via an LH BOC CCS1 charge port. Two PACCAR/Fahrenheit AGM 12V batteries (1,850 CCA) support the low-voltage system, stepped down through an integrated high-voltage-to-low-voltage converter. Additional electric-vehicle equipment includes a midship electric vehicle transmission, electric vehicle driveline (1 midship), console-mounted push-button shifter, electric air compressor (zero emissions), high-efficiency cooling system, regenerative braking, and an integrated battery grid heater. Vehicle speed is governed at a 65 mph maximum accelerator pedal setting with a 70 mph maximum cruise speed. CARB/EPA engine idling requirements are not applicable to this zero-emissions powertrain.

Chassis & Axles
Frame consists of 10-1/4" steel rails with steel crossmembers and a 206" wheelbase with 108" overhang. Front axle is a Dana Spicer E1202IR rated 12,000 lbs (GAWR 12,000 lbs), paired with single-power steering rated to 12,000 lbs capacity and air disc front brakes. Rear axle is a Dana Spicer P20060S rated 17,000 lbs (GAWR 17,000 lbs) with a 5.57 axle ratio, Bendix air cam rear drum brakes (16.5x7), and synthetic axle lubricant in all axles. Braking is managed by a Wabco Electronic Braking System (EBS) with antilock and traction control, plus an SBM valve. Wheel ends use PHP10 aluminum preset+ hubs (air disc front / rear). Frame is set up with components from BOC to the rear front spring hanger (bolted in place of huck fastened) and a square end-of-frame without crossmember, intended for a body-builder-installed crossmember. Rear mudflaps and hangers are omitted from the chassis as delivered. A steel bumper, painted to match the cab color, is fitted up front.

Suspension
Front suspension uses taper leaf springs and shocks rated to 12,000 lbs. Rear suspension is a Hendrickson HAS210L rated 21,000 lbs, with a dash-mounted dump switch and indicator light for suspension control.

Cab & Interior
The truck features a steel 63.5" BBC ProBilt cab in a left-hand-drive, day cab configuration with a gray interior. Seating includes a Sears C2 air-ride, high-back, fabric driver's seat and a fabric, low-back, non-air-ride two-person passenger seat. The cab is equipped with a tilt-only adjustable steering column, steering wheel with Peterbilt logo, rear wall storage, one-piece curved windshield, and a day cab rear window. Comfort and convenience features include a combination fresh air heater/air conditioner, electric power windows (LH/RH), heated and motorized driving mirrors (LH/RH), electric windshield wipers with intermittent feature, and a ConcertClass AM/FM radio with 3.5mm auxiliary input. The dash includes a dual-scale speedometer (MPH over KPH). Lighting consists of dual round halogen headlights with integral turn signals, five marker lights, fog/driving lights, daytime running lights, and RH/LH stop/tail/turn/backup lights. SmartLinq remote diagnostics is included with a 5-year subscription.

Body & Equipment
Delivered as a bare chassis, rated for household goods commodity hauling in city delivery service, and set up to accept a 24' DV-03 aluminum dry van body. The chassis frame's square end-of-frame (without crossmember) is specifically configured for a body-builder-installed crossmember to support the van body. Electric vehicle battery hardware includes LH and RH EV battery boxes, a steel battery box mounted BOC on the RH frame rail, and an aluminum battery box cover.

Tires & Wheels
Front tires are Goodyear 14-ply 11R22.5 Fuel Max RSA. Rear tires are Goodyear 14-ply 11R22.5 G572 1AD Fuel Max, mounted four per axle. Wheels are Alcoa ULA187 22.5x8.25 high-polish aluminum front and rear (four rear).
